Shakira is showing off her pregnant belly in the name of charity.
The mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, revealed her baby bump to all her Twitter followers on January 13.
In the intimate black and white shot, taken last month, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is positively glowing alongside her handsome soccer player beau.

Along with UNICEF, Shakira and Gerard are throwing an interactive baby shower to bring attention to those children who are suffering from preventable illnesses like malaria, one of the leading causes of child death worldwide.
“Every expectant parent around the world shares all the same hopes and dreams for their children that we do,” Shakira said in a statement. “Yet many don’t share the same opportunities. Together we know we can change that.”
They’re asking people to give “inspired gifts,” which are life-saving items that can be distributed to children in some of the poorest corners of the world, ranging from $5 mosquito nets to $10 polio vaccines to $37 for a baby-weighing scale to monitor growth in the first years of life.
With a $110 donation, fans can purchase life-saving Therapeutic Food, a peanut-based paste that can save an acutely malnourished child.
By signing into the virtual baby shower, fans get an exclusive look at more photos of a very pregnant Shakira and also earn a chance to win signed CDs and DVDs in thanks for their support.
